Phil Stacey Benefit Concert for ECHO

American Idol Finalist headlines Hunger Awareness Concert for ECHO of Brandon

Benefit concert to raise funds for ECHO, a Brandon charity which provides food and clothing to families who have suffered a recent emergency.

EVENT: Hunger Awareness Concert featuring Phil Stacey
VENUE: First United Methodist Church
DATE: Friday, August 20, 2010
TIME: 7:00 PM ADDRESS: 121 Knights Avenue, Brandon, FL 33511

BRANDON, FL – ECHO of Brandon will host its first benefit concert on Friday, August 20 at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Brandon. The concert features American Idol finalist, Phil Stacey, best known for an uplifting message in his music.

One of the Top 5 finalists on season six of American Idol, Stacey's powerful voice caught the attention of more than 30 million television viewers each week, and it's that musical gift combined with his passionate heart that fuels every moment of his Reunion Records debut Into the Light. After visiting ECHO in July, Stacey was excited to perform for a local charity helping families in need, and even assisted one local mom by carrying groceries to her car.

Jacksonville band, Kings Highway, will be the opening act.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit ECHO of Brandon. ECHO provides emergency food, clothing and small household items to families in our local community of Greater Brandon.

“This year (2010) has been a great year for ECHO. The outpouring of support from the Tampa Bay community has been a true blessing. We have helped a record number of families, especially children, due to the economy. Community support through food drives, local fundraisers, and volunteerism has kept our doors open to serve these families in need” said Stacey Efaw, Executive Director of the Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO) of Brandon.

Ms. Efaw added, “This benefit concert will provide support for additional programs we hope to add in the coming year and will continue to make a significant difference in the lives of local families.”

The 2010 ECHO of Brandon Benefit Concert also has sponsorship opportunities available.  Concert ticket information, ranging from $20 general admission to $50 VIP admission, also can be found here.
